We grow up being taught that government watches out for us (it's no accident that government funded schools teach us this). We think they are like a parent looking out for our best interests. We are told that government are people we vote in so they must represent the people.

Well, at a time when government approval rates are at their lowest in 60 years; a time when the digital age of information reveals many of the crimes and corruption going on in the higher ranks of power in our country; any thinking individual can easily conclude that these are just humans in these positions of power. And people are flawed. ALL of human history shows that power corrupts people and when given too much of it, people fight to the death to keep it.

There are things happening in the aftermath of Paris, though, that are questionable and lead to concerns about this tragedy not being dealt with appropriately and leading to more tragedies like this. People are worried that places like Rome, London, and DC are next.

What I am most concerned about is that Americans never get the full picture of certain crimes because our mainstream media and some of our politicians refuse to tell the whole truth.
