The lack of jobs in America is because of one huge reason that mainstream media doesn’t want to talk about and our government would never talk about.
Have you ever taken a run, gone on a hike, or walked through the woods where you took a route and then turned around to go back and that route you just took looked completely different? That tree looks really different, you don’t even recognize those steps in the path, and where the heck did that scary looking rock/cave come from?
It’s called perspective.
And most of the time, we look from one side of reality and miss so many other perspectives because we keep standing on the same side of the tree.
Stefan Molyneux is a great thinker and one of my favorite philosophers. I don’t always agree with him, especially his stance on God, but his talks on personal and political freedom are spot on. He brings the most basic, common sense understandings of life forward that you’re almost inclined to think how you didn’t think of it yourself. His radio show, Freedomain is the largest, most popular philosophy show in the world (according to his website).
In these three videos (they’re all pretty short – 7 min, 18 min, and 7 min) he explains the actual reasons we have so much unemployment in America. These ideas can apply to any country. He breaks it down to the most basic, fundamental reasons that you have never thought of before.

Why You Are Unemployed – Part 1
In this first video, Stefan emphasizes how important it is for you to understand, if you are, or have been, unemployed or underemployed, to not take it personally. There is only one fundamental reason that you are unemployed and it doesn’t have anything to do with failures on your part. This is his reach out to us, a sympathy message and a sunburst of clarity on why you are unemployed.
He says you are unemployed for one really basic, simple, clear reason that is never talked about in our culture. There is a big thing in the room that no one wants to bring up. Watch to find out!
Why You Are Unemployed – Part 2
Stefan starts out here with unfortunate stats. Like:
- “83% of all U.S. stocks are in the hands of 1% of the people.”
- “61% of Americans “always or usually” live paycheck to paycheck, up from 49% in 2008 and 43% in 2007. (This is the gutting of the middle class)
- Banks now own a greater share of residential housing net worth in the United States than all individual Americans put together. (Due to foreclosures and bankruptcies)
- Only the top 5% of U.S. households have earned enough additional income to match the rise in housing costs since 1975.

Why You Are Unemployed – Part 3
In this third video he discusses why statism (government) produces such grinding poverty in the long run. He also talks about why it’s so tragic and ridiculous for anyone to imagine that violence (Government uses violence to coerce you do to anything they say because otherwise they’ll throw you in jail) can solve the problem of poverty, lack of education, lack of security, old age, and so on.
He also talks about how you could be 3 1/2 times richer. Watch to see how!
